Objective

Adobe creative cloud is a subscription based software package created for industry professionals and hobbyists. This software is obtained through internet download only. Adobe sought to bring back an in store presence, allow subscriptions to be purchased with cash and to have store representatives advise customers on a suitable package depending on their needs.

Solution

This compact counter-top spinner display can accommodate up to 12 product facings, suitable for adobes extensive software library. Its compact form will allow access to high footfall areas such as a cash desk or a service counter. Placing the display by these areas means a store representative will be quick to respond to any customer queries concerning the software.

The base components are made from foil pressed MDF, this method allows a fast and flawless finish. The foil is hard wearing, easy to clean and protects the MDF from liquid damage. The spinning mechanism used is a Lazy Suzan bearing placed between the bottom and top base panels. The uprights are made from 2 distinct acrylic components arrayed 3 times each, these uprights have drillings for euro hooks on which the product hang. The red uprights have 90-degree bends which improves structural stiffness, they also feature a fin which aids in rotating the display. The header section is a cardboard tube sandwiched between 2 MDF panels, these have channels to secure the tube in place. The cardboard tube is decorated with vinyl graphic. The entire structure is held together by a single M6 threaded rod which is fastened at the top, this also facilitates easy changing of the header graphic if desired.
